Savvy Saving
Exercising prudence with money is more crucial now more than ever.  As gyms are temporarily closed, it would be prudent to check if you can freeze or cancel your membership.  We also advise reflecting whether you really use your gym membership.  If you don’t, it may make sense to let it go permanently.  There are many free or subsidised exercise options available online.  YouTube has a great selection.

Stay Safe, Stay Home
As a community, we must do all we can to protect one another.  This means staying at home and self-isolating.  Even if you feel well, you may be spreading the virus without knowing you are.  Visiting friends and family, especially those who are high risk may be putting them at high risk of serious complications.

Working from Home and Looking after Children
Balancing working from home whilst looking after children can be challenging.  Here are some tips to help through these times:
  • Speak to your manager/ team about balancing childcare with work requirements
  • Work out your schedules with partners/family members
  • Allocate a dedicated space for working and doing schoolwork
  • Involve children in creating a timetable, family rules and family values
  • Exercise regularly, eat well, get fresh air and spend time together away from screens

Thought of the Day

“When the spring of life sets again in the meadow.
A crown of flowers you will bear, singing bird, do not grieve.
Don’t lose hope, for awareness cannot perceive the unseen”
