Online Learning with HeadStart
"...there is no greater form of preparation for change than education."
Mawlana Hazar Imam, October 2002
The World Economic Forum predicts that as jobs are transformed by technology, over 1 billion people will need to reskill by 2030, and that by 2022 42% of core skills required for existing jobs are expected to change.
AKEB has collaborated with Alison and Nescot College to offer online courses through Headstart AKEB’s online portal - providing a greater basis for course completion, to support the Jamat with lifelong learning and skills development.
Alison provides professional courses with certificates upon successful completion. Nescot College offers nationally recognised qualifications.
#ThankfulThursday
Remember February? The good old days when we all attended gatherings, hugged, and shook hands; When you could easily book a flight or travel across town to visit friends; When a face mask was a beauty treatment. It seems like a lifetime ago that we were all enjoying the freedoms we had become accustomed to. Until very recently, we may not have realised just how lucky we were. Difficult situations like the current time can awaken a greater appreciation for all we have been blessed with, along with the confidence and determination to face this new, unfamiliar world, and all the challenges it has yet to bring. Today, let’s express gratitude to our healthcare heroes, supermarket staff, delivery drivers, and other essential workers for their dedication and commitment in helping to keep us safe and secure.
