"The tribulations of one people are the tribulations of all. That which weakens one weakens all. That which is a gain to one is surely a gain to all. This is no empty ideal. It is a veritable compass to guide aright the efforts of statesmen in every country and of all men of good will who, desiring the good of their own people, desire the good of the whole world."
Mindful Monday Moments
Mindfulness practices can help us to increase our ability to regulate emotions, decrease stress, anxiety and depression. Mindfulness is for everyone, and it can also help us to focus our attention, as well as to observe our thoughts and feelings without judgment. The AKHB team has developed an English Playlist and a Gujarati Playlist of mindfulness exercises. Bookmark these, and enjoy an exercise when you are feeling overwhelmed. A new edition is released weekly.
This week’s episode is called ‘Leaves on a Stream’. To participate in Gujarati click here. For English, click here.

ITREB Thought of the Day: #MotivationMonday
Imagine waking up every morning with a jolt of inspiration. Finding your purpose or your why can help. In his book, Simon Sinek writes about working with a partner to begin a discovery process to help find your why - what drives and motivates you. Why not use some of the spare time we might have now to think about your purpose and your why. Choose someone in your life who listens well and can ask questions to help you think more deeply. For direction, you can explore key moments in your life (both the highs and lows) or delve into memories that stand out and help to highlight what motivates you. Take the time to connect with your listening partner regularly - this can also help with the sense of isolation many of us might be feeling during the current crisis.  And once you've made some progress finding your why, help someone else find theirs!
