Among the most critical of the measures recommended by all government and health agencies are the maintenance of the best standards of personal hygiene, and practising the notion of physical distancing. While not easy, physical distancing is essential. It is my wish that my murids, and all those among whom they live, should follow these as well as all other guidelines and recommendations that the government and health authorities issue.

ITREB Thought of the Day #MotivationMonday
Books allow everyone to access knowledge and wisdom on countless subjects. However, many of us might find it difficult to fit more reading into our lives. Some helpful tips: We can start the day or end the day by reading. We could add reading onto a habit that is already embedded into our lives, for example, listening to an audiobook while cooking, or walking. Or you can combine it with a social activity, such as joining a virtual book club. Studies have shown that people who read novels have greater empathy. Psychologists have also proved that reading fiction enhances the ability to detect and understand other people's emotions, a crucial skill in building relationships. In a world that is increasingly complex and polarised, if we can learn to better understand others, we can create connections that surpass the boundaries of difference. Why not join or start a virtual book club today?
