Foremost among the principles of the Shia Ismaili Tariqah of Islam is the recognition of the Imam of the Time. Imamat Day is an occasion to reaffirm this principle, express gratitude to Mawlana Hazar Imam, and to reaffirm our spiritual allegiance to the Imam and our commitment to the ethics of the faith. Ya Ali Madad

Sixty-three years ago, on 11 July 1957, Mawlana Hazar Imam succeeded his grandfather, Mawlana Sultan Mahomed Shah, as the 49th hereditary Imam of the Shia Ismaili Muslims. Today, it is my pleasure and privilege, on behalf of the National Council, the Local Council for Germany and Sweden, and our Jamati Institutions across our Jurisdiction, to wish each of you a heartfelt Imamat Day Mubarak.

On the occasion of Imamat Day, on behalf of the Jamat and the institutions, I have extended to Mawlana Hazar Imam, our warmest and heartfelt felicitations, our most humble shukrana for Khudavind's continued guidance and leadership, especially during these challenging times, and our prayers for His health and happiness.

On this Imamat Day let us together reaffirm our spiritual allegiance to the Imam of the Time, our commitment to the ethics of the faith, and express our gratitude for His benevolence and guidance.

With prayers for our spiritual, physical-mental wellbeing and mushkil-asan  - Ameen

AKTC eCards - Share Imamat Day greetings today
For the Aga Khan Trust for Culture, culture is the lasting imprint of a civilisation: the environments in which we live – both built and natural, the cultures that surround us, the music we hear, the poetry we remember, the integrity of our social interactions, the quality of the air we breathe and the purity of our water - implicitly determine how we imagine ourselves and our realities.
As Imamat Day approaches, reach out to friends, family members and colleagues to wish them Mubarak. Choose from a selection of AKTC eCards created by ITREB UK for The Ismaili, add a personal message, and send your greetings to multiple contacts at the same time. Visit the.ismaili/ecards to view the selection and send your eCard today.
Imamat Day Mubarak from Mukhi Kamadia across the jurisdiction
On behalf of Mukhi Kamadia teams across our jurisdiction, Imamat Day Mubarak! These are unprecedented times and we all feel the absence of Jamatkhana attendance in our daily lives, especially on this joyous occasion of Imamat Day, when we would usually have gathered together to celebrate. Let us always remember to draw on our faith for comfort and solace. We must continue to stay strong, stay connected and stay united as One Jamat. Watch a special message from Mukhi Kamadia teams across the jurisdiction here.

Business Mentoring Programme
For a number of years the Business Mentoring Programme (BMP) has supported entrepreneurs in the UK Jamat by pairing them with successful Ismaili business mentors who provide advice and guidance to entrepreneurs on their journey. Due to the recent disruptions to businesses across the country, BMP would like to support members of the Jamat who operate businesses in retail, hospitality, healthcare, technology, real estate and professional services, as well as those who are self-employed.
If you think you and your business would benefit from mentoring, please get in touch. Equally, if you are a business owner and have experience in navigating a business through a period of uncertainty, we would love to speak to you about the possibility of becoming a business mentor. To register your interest, please email us on akepb.bmp@iiuk.org.

ITREB Thought of the Day
On this day, as our Jamat comes together to celebrate the 63rd Imamat Day of our beloved Mawlana Hazar Imam, let us consider the incredible gift of Imamat, of more than 1400 years of continuous spiritual and material guidance by an unbroken chain of 49 living Imams. Today, as we offer shukrana for this continuous gift of Light and protection, let us remember the values that have defined the Imamat over the course of time. The Ismaili Muslim community, dynamic and cosmopolitan, spread across the globe, carries an incredible legacy – the legacy of the progeny of Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) as inherited through his daughter Hazrat Fatima Al-Zahra (pbuh) and his son-in-law Hazrat Ali (pbuh). This legacy is defined by a living faith that permeates all aspects of our lives, by the intellectual pursuit of knowledge as an act of devotion, and by the embodiment of a firmly rooted ethical compass, reminding us not only of our inherent dignity as humankind, but also of our intrinsic duty of care towards our brothers and sisters in in humanity. May the Light of Imamat continue to guide us, may it keep us firmly on the righteous path as we emerge out of a time of crisis to face new challenges, building stronger communities and a thriving Jamat. Ameen.
