Building the future is important. And we do it through strong and solid institutions in the fields of education, healthcare and economic development. And they are not institutions for the community, I repeat. They are institutions that operate at an international level. Maybe they started as community institutions but they grew from there.

Mindful Mondays
Join us every fortnight for Mindful Mondays at 8:30pm - 9:00pm BST. Mindfulness means knowing directly what is going on inside and outside ourselves, moment by moment. It's easy to stop noticing the world around us. It's also easy to lose touch with the way our bodies are feeling and to end up 'living in our heads' - caught up in our thoughts without stopping to notice how those thoughts are driving our emotions and behaviour. Take the time to start noticing with us. Join us for the next session on Monday 20 July at 8:30pm BST, via this Zoom link.

ITREB Thought of the Day
Hazrat Bibi Fatima’s epithet “Al-Zahra” means the enlightened one. Often referred to as the Light of Islam, she was the Prophet Muhammad’s (pbuh) daughter, wife of Hazrat Ali and mother of Hazrat Hasan and Hazrat Hussain, becoming the key that held together the Ahl al-Bayt. She is often referred to as the Lady of Paradise or Khatun-i Jannat. Bibi Fatima was very close to her father from an early age. About 5 years after her birth, the Prophet began to receive revelations. During the early years of Islam, Prophet Muhammad was often persecuted by the Meccans. Many stories from the Sunnah portray Fatima as a young child coming to the defence of her father. She would shield him with her body, shouting at his persecutors. After the death of her mother Hazrat Bibi Khadija, it was Fatima who cared for and nurtured the Prophet during the years of struggle and warfare faced by the early Muslim Ummah. During this time, the early Muslims called her Umm Abiiha – or ‘mother to her father.’
